Modern or old Ruins

The two maps above show us where is Italy geologically positioned and what it means within the country.


The article at the link above can remind us that we might need to push back post industrial archaeology for a short while, until we have a better picture of the real damage happening in Italy.

Today’s earthquake looks like the continuation of the one hitting L’Aquila a few years ago, the one happened in August and running on the Apennines line from Messina Strait up to the Po Valley, eventually getting to the north eastern Alps.

This geographical area collects most of the cultural heritage of the western civilization.
